I had been trying to get a hotel in Chicago for under $100; but after so many tries, I finally went over by $5 to $105 and I got the Sheraton Towers.. The regular price for these dates for this hotel is $249 plus tax! Does anyone know if there is some kind of convetion or something happening? I was in Chicago end of June and bid $70 and got The Wit, which was an awesome hotel.. Oh well, I'm very happy about my bid and that I found this site. Will def. be coming back here to share and also see what others are able to find.

Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Nice result for this Sheraton, which is well-located - I'd also recommend Fox and Obel Market and Cafe (fox-obel.com), which is about a block and a half East of the hotel, on the corner of Illinois and McClurg.

Fall in Chicago is generally more expensive than late Summer; convention traffic and nicer weather (somewhat similar to NYC prices.)

It would be greatly appreciated if you could post your Wit win as a separate thread. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
