texasgirl3 Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Amenities:Complimentary BreakfastPool(s)This hotel was horrid and we informed the front desk staff we were not staying. So bad it was worth losing the $43 to not stay, and we found a fabulous Sleep Inn down the street, rated as avg $95 rate, but I told the front desk guy our woes with the Baymont hoping he would sympathize, and he gave us a room fo $75. I have contacted HOTWIRE and am hoping for some recourse, but don't know how they handle this sort of thing. They say they will review and get back to me.

liquordealer Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 We've been stuck there twice by Priceline. Both times have been diasters. A few weeks ago we were booked for two nights - firealarms started going off at 3 AM - Desk Clerk was not well enough informed to even help the fire department shut the alarms off. First experience - key cards all mysteriously changed in the middle of the night - ended up stuck in the parking lot in a blizzard and the only recourse was wading through snow from the back parking lot to the front desk - then almost an hour to get a new card. Amarillo is a hard place to get a discount - I know better than to go down a level but in this instance I had no other choice.
