thereuare
There was a small window of opportunity when the Four Points (the hotel in the thread linked above) was accepting bids in the $130's, but that is not typical for this time of year, and while you may get lucky, i would expect to pay more... especially if this is the only zone you're bidding. Currently, if you include other nearby zones you may be able to get a 3* for ~$140-$160.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
but I tot the Chelsea area is the cheapest in Manhattan? On any given day for any given dates another zone could have lowered priced inventory then a hotel in this particular zone. If you're looking for the best possible price you should use as many zones that are acceptable.Hi, I'm going to be bidding 3* Chelsea for different dates. What were the free zones you used to increase your bid? Thank you.areas in Manhattan which are expensive than Chelsea like time sq etcVERY risky using 'pseudo' re-bid zones which you believe there won't be a hotel that will accept the price you're bidding. If you're willing to stay in the 'pseudo re-bid zone' then it's fine to include... but i don't recommend adding a zone in order to re-bid because you 'know' that hotels in that are won't accept your bid price.les5551, the way to determine your re-bid zones is detailed here: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained. zclord
Pls help to ID 3* LaGuardia Airport LGA - Flushing area Hotel, 11/1-2just check HOTWIRE from this board's link shows,3* $119 amenities: Airport Shuttle Business Center High-speed Internet Access , Recommended in 85% of customer reviews I guess it's not holiday inn. because no pool .and I see 3.5* $199 amenities: Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Recommended in 70%of customer reviews, guess is crowne plaza, how come so expensive? guess maybe is Marriott NYC Laguardia Airport? a new 3.5* hotel? tks so much! :) Link to comment
thereuare
HOTWIRE has what i'm guessing to be the 2* Best Western Convention Center for $129... i don't really recommend it, but given your budget, it would at least give you the ability to stay in the city and avoid the commute to Long Island City and then back to Manhattan to begin 'exploring the city'. With just one nite in NYC i would try to stay directly in the city, and i would be able to 'deal with' a budget rated property for one nite. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. zclord
any chance to assuming this 3* property is the Crowne Plaza, downgraded from the last reported 3.5* level? just because of the Recommended in 85% of customer reviews ? but the amenities just shows 3 icons.... a bit strange...btw, lastminutetravel 3-star hotel in Manhattan - Upper West Side/New York, $133, any idea what's that? http://www.lastminutetravel.com/PageHotelD...ults=1&pg=2 Link to comment
thereuare
The LMT property is likely the Astor on the Park. For the LGA property, the percent recommended numbers change for the same hotel often change slightly from search to search, so i don't think this would be a good basis to use to identify any given property. It could be the Crowne Plaza with a new star rating and amenity combination, but i'd have no reason to suspect that scenario as being more likely then any other 3* hotel in the zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
