Hello all,

Im looking for some help on the best way to target this. Im looking for a 4* or 5* hotel in Seoul, Korea.

I guess my best wish is a 5* but a 4* will do, but trying to keep it below $110 per night.

Whats the best way to do this? cut it up? or ? any tips will be appreciated.

Tried upto 105 for a 4* and rejected.

Yea Im actually looking at only Seocho-gu/Gangnam-Gu zone..

I tried 110$ for 5* then 4* but rejected for both.. They forwarded me to the retail page after the 4*. does that mean im getting close? Renaissance hotel which by this site is the reported 4* shows 223/night, which is about 50% of the offer?

Rates look much higher for the first week of your stay vs. the rest of your stay.

I would try bidding the following date combinations:

11/7-11/24

11/8-11/24

11/7-11/23

11/9-11/24

11/7-11/22

11/10-11/24

11/7-11/21

11/11-11/24

11/7-11/20

11/12-11/24

11/7-11/19

11/13-11/24

11/7-11/18

11/14-11/24

11/7-11/17

11/15-11/24

I'd start with the above which tries to get you as many nites as possible while still including the first or last nite of your stay.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

With PRICELINE you won't be able to know either of the above... and HOTWIRE (where it is possible to know some of the amenities) doesn't yet cover this area.

I've had good luck with a 4* in Seoul for the last couple of years (2-3 times per year). My bids range from $75-90/night on average. However, for my next trip (11/6-10) I had to up it to $110 about 2 weeks ago to get the reservation. In Gangnam I've always gotten the Renaissance Seoul. This is very nice hotel.

Extras are a package of internet and breakfast for around KR35,000 / day (maybe 40,000) or about $35-40. The breakfast is good for business travelers although it is a little excessive. There is a Starbucks on the corner near the hotel. I don't recall how much the internet is per night on its own but I do remember it being expensive ($25/day?).

I believe the G20 or APEC is in Seoul in late October/November making it harder to get rooms right now.

Good luck.
