ScootersMommy Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I was just looking at Hotwire for a stay 12/7 - 12/8. Wondering if I could get some help with IDing these.4* North Michigan Ave - Water Tower $66 Boutique, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet, Golf Nearby - Guessing this one is the Whitehall3 1/2* North Michigan Ave - Water Tower $72 Boutique, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet, Golf, Tennis, Spa4* Mag Mile - $99 - This is the one I am most interested in Non smoking, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Internet3* Mag Mile - $64 Fitness Center, Business Center, InternetI am nervous to jump on HOTWIRE and book instead of calling the hotel directly, but I also want to save some money! We are going to Wicked at Cadilac Palace Theatre, but also going to Navy Pier, doing a little shopping, and probably Millenium Park so not sure where is the most convenient to stay. Thanks for your help.
AaronJB Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The 4* NMA could be the Talbott or Whitehall, but would almost certainly be the Whitehall. The 3.5* NMA would likely be the Indigo. The 4* Mag Mile would likely be the SheratonThe 3* NMA would likely be the Inn of Chicago. From a purely hotel perspective, I'm a fan of the Indigo, and if the 3.5* NMA listing is the Indigo, I think that's a cute property. It is not as centrally located in the Gold Coast area - that's a very nice area, but it's a bit North. Still, easy access to the subway to get to the Loop in a few minutes. Not a huge fan of the Sheraton, personally, but it's in a nice location by the river and a few blocks East of Michigan Ave. I find the Avenue via Orbitz for $107 (and then coupon ORBITZ5 takes 5% off) more appealing, personally - with the 5% coupon that would be only a few dollars more than the Sheraton. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz links to start your purchases and searches.
