Priceline Hotel: Advice for NYC Oct. 8-10

I'm trying to find a hotel in Manhattan at the last minute to avoid having to stay at the more affordable airport hotel in Queens.

We're looking for a room Oct. 8-10. Ideally in the $100-150/night range. Do you think it would be possible to get a 3 star room for these dates?

It's for 3 people - 2 beds would work, but squeezing together on 1 would be a stretch. Should I only look at HOTWIRE?

The most convenient locations would be Midtown West or Times Square. We could do the UWS, Chelsea, or Midtown East as well. Really anyplace other than the financial district. (Which of course, looks cheaper.)

Any advice on strategy is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where and how much is your back-up hotel in Queens? I assume you're flying into LGA?

Doubtful... but you can certainly try.

I would stick with HOTWIRE in this situation, but searching for triple occupancy doesn't show anything close to your budget.
