yankeegirl Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Need a good PRICELINE bidding strategy for getting a 4* hotel for two nights. Would like to max out at $135 if that sounds plausible, our dates are also flexible too, so if there are better days within 2 -3 days on either side of these dates I'd be interested! Thanks in advance for the help! Oh yeah, area is not important, we visit a lot, but usually stay in the burbs w my family and want to treat ourselves to a couple of nights in the big city!
AaronJB Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Good evening. Unfortunately, this is a very busy time in NYC; HOTWIRE is showing 4*'s in Midtown around $275-325; I'm guessing a likely range of an accepted PRICELINE bid, depending on the zone, is probably somewhere in the $225-240 range, and possibly slightly higher. Rates on both sides of this period unfortunately also appear high, although a 3 or 3.5* may be possible for somewhat better rates on the 13th-15th; still, unfortunately, I think it may take higher than $135.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
