Hotwire Hotel: should i wait?

Hi,

i'm planning a trip to San Francisco for10/22-26.

should i make the reservation now, via HOTWIRE or should i wait to see if the price gets any lower?

You can certainly wait, but that is not always a successful strategy - it may work, but if traffic comes in higher than expected or something is happening, prices could ramp up. Additionally, if prices are already high, they may stay high if demand warrants.

What would be your desired budget per night, and which areas/star rating would you be interested in bidding on?

Searching HOTWIRE for your dates do you see anything within your desired star rating, zone and budget? (or were you looking to use PRICELINE)
