texasgirl3 Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Well we were hoping this would be the Aloft, which looked very nice and has shown up on this board, but they apparently upgraded the Holiday Inn to 3.5 stars! Hope it can live up to that rating, and glad we didn't book the whole week we were considering doing.

The sleep inn we stayed at in Amarillo the previous night was closer to 3.5 stars--much more luxurious, great breakfast, and very friendly staff. Pros:very pet-friendly (all rooms), with $25 pet feefriendly staffclean roomsoptional feather pillows of requestmini-fridge & microwaveeasy free wifi access"green" with recycling bin in roomCons:old CRT TV, dated, worn furniturerather worn appearance of halls (room looks a little better)AC not very cold even when set at 69--feels more like 74Overall: not bad for the priceMy husband had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital by ambulance. The staff here has been incredibly nice and offering any assistance we might need. (Maybe I can get our hotwire rate extended?)
