vandalay Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Hi all, I am trying to book 3 nights in SF, 4* for $150/night or less. It seems to me that Saturday night is the problem, so I am willing to split the hotels Thurs/Fri and Sat night.Any tips? I would be fine with many 3* hotels but there are a few that just won't cut it so I can't risk it unfortunately. I am left with trying to get 3.5* or 4* for that price range.Union Square/Nob Hill/Financial/Fisherman's Wharf only. Thanks in advance
thereuare Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! It sounds as if you have already tried bidding for this complete stay... how high did you bid at the 4* and 3.5* levels? Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. vandalay Posted October 4, 2010 Author Report Posted October 4, 2010 Thanks for the reply. I only bid up to $125 for 3.5/4* so far but it didn't seem to let me bid again so I will try again tomorrow. My goal is to get a nicer 3* for around $100 or a 3.5-4* for less than $150. But the large range of 3* hotels kind of scares me away from using priceline/hotwire where you don't know which one you're getting, so if push came to shove I would fork out more than $150 for a 3.5/4* rather than risking it. I hope that makes sense.
thereuare Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 In other words your goal at this point is a 3.5* or better for $150 or less. Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay????Also, did you want to try up to $150 first for your complete stay OR do you prefer to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID and change hotels in hopes of a lower price? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
