jenniferf Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 HI there. Am considering this hotwire deal but would like help guessing which hotel it is.Oct 30 - Nov 12 adults4 starsPuerto Vallarta (not Nuevo Vallarta)Recommended in 100%of customer reviewsCustomer rating on Trip Advisor 4.0 out of 5.0The cost today is $123 for two adultsResortSuite BeachfrontFood and beverages includedWater sports/activities includedEvening entertainment includedDaily activities includedChildren's Activity programFitness centerPool(s)Restaurant(s)Golf NearbySpa servicesKitchenetteAll-inclusiveDo you think the only resort it can be is Barcelo Puerto Vallarta? Any others?I ask because it might be smarter to book directly since their rates aren't much more than hotwire and then I have cancellation options.THANKS!!!
jenniferf Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 The hotel I asked about IS, as your site has previously said, Barcelo Puerto Vallarta Resort - All Inclusive.HOWEVER, one of the amenities listed is incorrect. There is no kitchenette. The hotwire operator said, but there is a mini-fridge. I said, but there is no stove or microwave as listed in your amenity descriptions. If they do not remove that amenity from the list AND you get this hotel you should be able to cancel your booking.
thereuare Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm assuming you purchased this... were you give the option to cancel or any other consideration for the lack of a Kitchenette offered at this property? If so, did you choose to keep the hotel?Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. jenniferf Posted October 4, 2010 Author Report Posted October 4, 2010 I was allowed to cancel. I was glad about this mistake which provided a nice loophole for me. The hotel wasn't the best available (the farthest from the airport of all of them, with a 60 dollar transfer fee, although a lovely looking resort if you don't mind that.) so I'll keep looking.
AaronJB Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Glad to hear you were able to cancel this reservation. Please let us know if you have any questions and what you decide upon for this stay.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
