After staying I'm curious what makes this 2.5 stars. I can't always tell the difference between 2 and 2.5. Nothing wrong with it but nothing stood out either.

Often the amenities offered have a lot to do with the star rating, then the 'hotel experience' itself... but ultimately star ratings are subjective, and there may be little demarcation between hotels rated a half a star differently from each other.

I typically expect 2* and 2.5* hotels to be clean and functional... don't expect anything to 'stand out' until the 3.5*/4* level.
