sportmom
First time I used Hotwire & what a *sweet* deal I got thanks to this site!I really needed to go ahead & book a room for a conference I'm going to in December - was afraid to wait til the last minute like I usually do...lol! Anyhow, I got the 3* Hilton Ft Lauderdale (new one for you to add to your 3*'s in the FLL Airport area too!) for $66 a night for my conference in December. With taxes, etc., the total is $152.95. Beats the pants off the :) "great" :) conference rate of $119/night! Amenities listed were airport shuttle, restaurant, pool, fitness ctr, business ctr, & tennis nearby.Now... I did go to Priceline 1st, based on the info here & at TOBB (am I allowed to say that here?). With the info gleaned from both sites, I *knew* the 3* airport had to be either the Sheraton or the Hilton. I first bid $55 at Priceline for the same criteria just to see if I could undercut Hotwire (yeah, I'm cheap! lol!) & when that came back declined, I decided to go w/Hotwire since I was virtually POSITIVE that I would get the Sheraton or Hilton. Thanks for all the helpful information here on your site - it really helped me!
