Priceline Hotel: New York Times Square hotel for 4 people/room

I am looking to bid on two rooms with 4 people each. We want to stay in Times Square from Oct. 28-Nov. 1. We have 8 people total going and we are looking for rates below 300 (with taxes preferably). Would like to use priceline... any suggestions on bidding?

PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy per night, and this is especially true in NYC, where rooms are small and availability of rooms with two beds is minimal at some properties and often more expensive when available. HOTWIRE would be a better choice in this case, given that one can indicate four in a room and then get bedding (usually 2 beds, although it can be 1 + sofabed) for the entire party.

You can use PRICELINE, but in NYC, you are definitely taking a risk when it comes to getting two beds. Are you seeing any HOTWIRE options when searching for four for your dates?
