Shell8561 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 My son is in college in Boston and will be coming home in December to Syracuse and returning to Boston in January. Syracuse is one of the worst cities for airfare. You'd think with it being centrally located in the state, we'd have some of the best deals, but it's just the opposite. I've never bid on flights on Priceline and would welcome any suggestions. On fly.com I did see a US Air flight from Boston that goes to the airport in Ithaca and Ithaca is only an hour and 15 mins. from Syracuse so that might be an option. It's about $150 but then the added cost of the checked luggage will probably be anywhere from $25 - 30 so it would really be more like $175 - 180. Do you think I have any chance of getting a flight into Syracuse cheaper by bidding on Priceline? I can't do it right now because he's trying to find out the exact dates of his final exams in December, but I want to know how to do it so when he does find out, I'll be prepared. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
