Cannot bid at Priceline

First visit to this forum. Looks good. Hope someone can clue me in as to what the problem is.

Have used Priceline lots for bidding on hotels over several years. Today I tried to bid on a car at RST (Rochester, MN airport) after doing research on what I could expect to pay via Orbitz and Travelocity. But Priceline redirects me to a page just listing what is available without offering the option to submit a bid.

Perhaps this is just because it's a smallish destination and isn't on their "bidding map." But I thought I'd ask and see if I'm doing something wrong.

Looking for a compact car from 3:30 pm Saturday 2 October until 11:30 am Saturday 9 October. Pick up and drop off both at RST.

It appears that bidding for a car is not available in this area thru PRICELINE.

However, HOTWIRE does offer 'opaque' rates in this market so you might want to try there.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

These Hotwiere rates are no better than what I can obtain directly from the car rental companies.

It seems, understandably enough, that bidding is not really an attractive option at smaller, lower-volume locations.
