Priceline Hotel: 4* San Antonio (Riverwalk) Hyatt Regency

Used complicated bidding procedure.. Bid multiple times using Riverwalk zone (only 4 star zone) and adding non 4 star zone on each successive bid. I increased $2 each bid.

Hyatt Regency's web site lists wireless internet as an amenity. However, speaking to the hotel manager I was told it was $ 9.95 a day extra. How can it be an amenity but still charged extra?

Comments on major hotel review sites have been very negative in recent months.

Hoping for the best.

Thank you for sharing your results with the board... sorry to hear it doesn't appear to be a hotel you were hoping for.

An amenity is a service offered by the hotel, not necessarily something that is included/complimentary. For example, a SPA icon is often shown by HOTWIRE, certainly massages aren't included. (and the hi-speed icon also indicates 'additional fees may apply')

I just stayed at this hotel on a priceline win from 9/24 - 9/26 and was also concerned about recent reviews I had read, but decided at $70 I would give it a go. The hotel was fine. Construction is limited to the lobby and we didn't hear any noise during the evening hours from it. We heard more noise coming from people on the riverwalk than the construction, so you may wish to request a room on the other side of the building or on a higher floor. We had a corner room on the 4th floor overlooking the river. It was cleaned daily fresh towels, etc. They are still working on the elevators, but there was only ever one down at a time (out of 5) and I didn't think the waits were out of the ordinary. I would be fine if this hotel came up for me again for the weekend I am looking for in Nov.
