dougiehc Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Hi guys - I will be arriving in Miami for 7 days on 6th November. I would like to stay in Miami beach and ideally south beach. I would like to try and get 4*So, I don't know the area at all so some help with areas for bidding strategy would be great. It would also be good to know where to start bidding and what the likely successful price would be? Finally, I know you can't guarantee hotels but I would appreciate a heads up on the risk of winning a real dog of a hotel in the beach area. Many thanksDougie

I would like to bag a 4* cheaper than a direct booking but not sure what I should be aiming for - say $170??What is the best rate you've found thru a direct booking? If you look at PRICELINE's zones for this area, which of the South Beach zones are acceptable? Did you also want to include Miami Beach or only consider that zone if your bids for the South Beach area fail?HOTWIRE has what i'm guessing is The Mondrian for $155/nite... would this be acceptable and/or work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. dougiehc Posted September 27, 2010 Author Report Posted September 27, 2010 Actually, the Mondrian would be perfect. I'll have a look and get back to you.
