With PRICELINE, you bid on areas, NOT specific hotels.

It will make more sense to you enter Paris and your dates in the blue PRICELINE (upper right corner on this page) and hit enter. You will then see a map on the right side of the page, and the list of bidding areas on the left side of the page. To bid, you check off the area (or areas) in which you are interested. Then you can see the available star levels. You check your desired star level and fill in your bid and the rest of the information and eventually submit your bid.

I know the Pullman in the La Defense area is a 4* (I've gotten it), and would guess the other one also is a 4*. They are areas 4 and 5 in the list.

For the record, the La Defense area is considered pretty remote by some. I didn't find it a problem though, as it is right on a metro line, so maybe a 15 minute ride and one is right in the center of things. And the price was right.
