Priceline Hotel: Requesting help: York

Would like a little help with getting something halfway decent in York for 7-22 through 7-25....

Not sure what price to start at....

The only requirements I have is clean....we are working at the 10th Annual PA Jeeps Show that weekend....a nice LARGE tub/jacuzzi would be nice....

I'm thinking somewhere in the $50-60 range with Yorks closeness to Hershey....

Well you have some time, so i would begin with the following when bidding York, PA, where you have one re-bid zone. If you're not sure which zone qualifies as your re-bid zone please feel free to ask the board for help.

Select 2.5* York...

Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone, bid $45.

If the above is rejected wait 72 hours and try again, raising each bid by $5.

I would do the above until i reached $65/nite... unless you have a back-up in mind for considerably less (ie- there is a Red Roof in for $45, but i'm assuming you'd rather pay a little more for better accomodations... if not, maybe you want to stop at $55?)

There are also 2* and 2.5* hotels on HOTWIRE in the mid-$60's although they have not been identified.

I'm going to start bidding pretty soon....we've found in the past that for some reason hotels in the York area book quickly in the summer time....part of it is Hershey from what I've been told....
