tg5280 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I'm new to this so I hope this is okay to post and in the right place. I will be attending a conference at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park from Dec. 12-15 and wanted to find a reasonably-priced hotel in the area. What suggestions do you have bidding on Priceline? Thank you!
AaronJB Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)What would be your desired max budget per night/desired star rating?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 The Marriott is located in PRICELINE's Dupont Circle-Woodley Park zone... are you able to accept a hotel anywhere within the boundaries of this zone? Is this the only zone you're able to accept?Besides your maximum bid, what star rating are you seeking? Please read your messages and let us the know the info above and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. tg5280 Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Posted September 24, 2010 I'm fine with staying anywhere in NW DC. Would like to stay around $120/night for three stars. Metro proximity would be nice, as the conference hotel is close to a stop on the Red Line. But I know it's not possible to be that specific. Thanks again!
thereuare Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 I'm fine with staying anywhere in NW DC.As everyone may have a different definition of "NW DC" please use PRICELINE zones by name... are there other zones besides the Dupont Circle zone you're willing to accept? What appears to likely be the Normandy Hotel is available on HOTWIRE for $104/nite and, if correct, is less then a mile from the Marriott (though not sure if you could/want to walk it in December) but would this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. tg5280 Posted July 21, 2011 Author Report Posted July 21, 2011 This was for a potential work trip that did not materialize, so I never booked anything. Thanks for the help, though.
