GASun Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I've tried bidding for a room for between $120 and $130 in CPS, Madison Square Garden, MTE, MTW and Times Square for a 4 or 3.5 star. All were rejected. Is there a big event going on in the city that weekend or am I bidding way too low?
GASun Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 Well that'll definitely do it! Thank you. Looks like I'll pick the weekend before to take my vacation.
AaronJB Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 The Fall/early Winter is quite expensive in NYC; what would be your desired max budget per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
GASun Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Posted September 24, 2010 I decided to do a staycation in Atlanta instead since NYC is so expensive right now. I'll try again for NYC in the spring and hope that rates are a little bit better.
thereuare Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Thanks for closing this thread with your decision. However, when planning for NYC, keeping in mind that Spring is hi-season too... if you're looking for the best rates/deals summer and winter (after the holiday season) are generally the least expensive.Have fun in Atlanta.
