zclord Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Posted September 24, 2010 Update: PRICELINE bid 3* from $50 to 62, failed again, hmmm rather tough for this hotel bidding :)
thereuare Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 PLEASE KEEP ALL POSTS FOR THE SAME STAY IN THE SAME THREAD.My best guess for the Travelocity property is the Metropolitan Hotel Toronto. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. zclord Posted September 24, 2010 Author Report Posted September 24, 2010 hi frd, maybe u r right, as I find similiar post as below: but it was 3*, maybe now is 3.5*. how is this hotel? as I see from the hotel website's rate is CAD130 excluding tax. I use PRICELINE bid 3* from $50 to 62, failed again, should I choose Travelocity for $69? :) but I am worried about this fees: is it a compulsory fee?Additional Mandatory Resort Charges:$15.60 †† Payable directly to the property upon checkout
thereuare Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Yes, mandatory means that you'll have to pay it and that you should include this when factoring in the cost of your hotel room... would $8 added to the $69 room rate turn this from a good deal into a bad deal?? (that's the question you need to ask yourself)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or our Travelocity link. Yuri Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 You should be able to figure out exactly what hotel it is on Travelocity from detailed traveler rating. Just compare all categories to the 3* hotels that show up in regular search. Note that the order of categories isn't necessarily the same, but the values are.If you can't figure out which hotel it is, post the values for each category here.
zclord Posted September 25, 2010 Author Report Posted September 25, 2010 yeah, Metropolitan sounds very reasonable. how is this htoel? as I need to find a downtown hotel which has easier access to the Union Station, then can take free shuttle to city center airport where I will take porter airline. just find: Book a 2+ night hotel stay using any America PRICELINE EXPRESS
zclord Posted September 25, 2010 Author Report Posted September 25, 2010 UPDATE: after fail again bid thru priceline with 3* downtown $63 including tax over $150 for 2 nights, I turn to Travelocity Top Secret hotels. Bingo, yes, it's Metropolitan hotel. after check google map, its location very close to st.patrick staion, 3 stops to union station, which is fine to me. and the hotel reviews are not bad. still better than priceline and hotwire! :) Room 1: Top Secret Room (1 adult) 2 Nights Tue, Oct 26 USD 69.32 Wed, Oct 27 USD 69.32 Sum of nightly rates USD 138.64 Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees USD 19.14 Room 1 - Total:USD 157.78 You are saving an additional USD 20.00 on your hotel!
