MatkailijaLpr Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Wanted to check what hotel this was as I will be travelling with a group of friends in the Dusseldorf area. As the hotel is near the airport decided to go for PRICELINE (see separate entry for the Priceline win) and probably won't be using this one night reservation, however can you add this hotel to the forum's hotwire hotel list, Dusseldorf (Dusseldorf area)Holiday Inn Hotels, DUSSELDORF AIRPORT-RATINGEN amenities were:PoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHotel rate per night: $34.00 Tax recovery charges and fees:$7.60Total price:$41.60
thereuare Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Sorry to see this wasn't what you were looking for and the room will go unused, but at $34 and you needing multiple rooms for multiple nites, i can see how it may have been worth it to 'look behind the curtain'.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
acaphil Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 I just spent a night at the Holiday Inn Ratingen. It is by far the worst 4* Property I have experienced. If I would have know I sure would have stayed somewhere else, and not worried about the price already paid (41$ + Tax). Run down and dirty in the middle of nowhere. Hotel Pub overpriced and unfriendly. Just close to the airport. Cannot believe that hotwire even considers it a Dusseldorf city hotel. My tip is that you will be better off if you book a 3*, than getting this shabby place.
AaronJB Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 acaphil,Sorry to hear that your stay at this property didn't go well and was a disappointment. :)If this was a PRICELINE bid or HOTWIRE purchase, it would be greatly appreciated if you could post it as a separate thread. Thanks.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
