gabe01 Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I've tried three bids, all for 9/24 - 9/26:1. Copied a previously posted successful bid with the same details. 4*, $70, Millennium Park, Loop, and Grant Park Area. Unsuccessful.2. 3.5*, $80, Millennium Park, Loop, and Grand Park area. Unsuccessful.3. 3*, $85, Millennium Park, Loop, and Grant Park area, and Lincoln Park. Unsuccessful.Any advice on what to try next?I would prefer a 3* or above. The amenities don't really matter to me. The area does.Thanks.
AaronJB Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 These dates are definitely busier and unfortunately, will likely require a higher (and possibly quite a bit higher) bid. What would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
gabe01 Posted September 20, 2010 Author Report Posted September 20, 2010 I am hoping to spend $100 or less per night. What is the highest star you think I can achieve?
thereuare Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I would bid up to your limit as i think you may have difficulty finding anything at $100 or less for these dates. You can try up to your limit at the 4* level, then if rejected at the 3.5* level, etc, etc... or just pick the lowest star rating that you're willing to accept and gradually bid up to your limit.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help with a more detailed bidding strategy. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
