Need help with a couple Chicago ID's this time

The 3* is likely the South Loop Hotel, which I would not recommend from a location standpoint - it's far South of downtown and near McCormick Place; it's fine for a convention stay, but it's really not optimal for a tourist.

The 4* would likely be the Hyatt.

I tried priceline but didn't get any hits on the price I bid. I will see what I can work out tomorrow, thank you for the info.

Actually, let me recommend one other thing instead:

The Embassy Suites Lakefront is $109 on Expedia for these dates. Coupon code RELAX10 takes $10 off - $99. That is a very, very nice Embassy Suites property in a great location a couple of blocks from the lake. It's not a 4*, but it is a very nice, well-located 3.5* that would offer a suite, free breakfast and evening reception.

Please use the site's Expedia link if you decide to go this route.

Given that what appears to be the Hyatt is showing on HOTWIRE for $109, I'm guessing a bid of $70-80 may be accepted on PRICELINE for a 4* in the Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park area for the Hyatt or another 4* in the zone. If not $70-80, maybe slightly higher - $85 or so.

The Embassy Suites Lakefront is a good option though - very nice ES + free breakfast/reception.
