bdirks Posted September 18, 2010 Report Share Posted September 18, 2010 I reserved a car from Hertz right on their website using my AAA card.With my AAA discount, I was able to get a four day rental for a total including taxes & fees for $62.12 ($15.53 a day, for a compact car)I just tried bidding for the same car class on priceline, and I can't get it for that cheap, in fact, the counter offer run the total bill including taxes & fees to about $75 ($18.75 a day). Needless to say, I didn't accept it.I also compared a full size car. Total bill from Hertz, same days, $92, or $23 a day.Priceline's best counter offer, total bill: $104, or $26 a day. Which... that's not a bad price, but I can get it cheaper somewhere else :) I can't remember for sure how much I bid on the full size, but it seems like about 12-13 Link to comment
