Bob24 Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 I was VERY pleased with what the cat dragged in with this deal. The Pfister is the premier hotel in Milwaukee and is the hotel that the Minnesota Twins stay at when playing the Brewers. That bit of trivia is important because me and my brother are travelling to Milwaukee next June to see the Twins play and needed a couple of rooms.I started bidding for a 3.5 star downtown at $45. I didn't try 4 stars because I didn't want to get sent to the Ambassador. My bid was turned down flat. I added zones that I knew did not contain a 3.5 property and worked my way up. Finally, at $59, they let me know that they were upgrading me and putting me in the Pfister.I got on the Pfister's website and the rooms were going for $315 a night plus hefty fees. I paid a paltry $59! I got 2 rooms for 2 nights for $280 INCLUDING fees. With the Twins team and staff staying there and the fact that probably 15,000-20,000 Minnesotans make the trip to see them at Miller Park every year, I can't understand them letting a room go for so cheap. Oh well, I will take it.
