freqflyer Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Using strategies learned on Betterbidding.com I again got the hotel I wanted. I am going to a wedding and they had reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Park Ridge Hotel in King of Prussia for $89. I called the hotel and they said that the block of rooms had been taken but they could offer me a room for $119. I said forget it because I was sure I could do better on their website or with Priceline or Hotwire. So I started by checking Hotwire and saw a 4* with Rest, Pool, Fit Center, Internet, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center and Laundry Facilities for only $68 for April 22-24, 2005. I thought it might be the Sheraton Park Ridge. I based this on my knowledge of the area and the betterbidding.com hotel lists. I tried the Hotel/Car package trick to increase my comfort level but the Hotwire site gave me some Java errors. So I figured for $68 and a 4* I would be happy even if I wasn't at the same hotel as the rest of the guests. The small gamble paid off as I am confirmed at the Sheraton Park Ridge Hotel. Thanks again for your help Betterbidding!
