Hotwire Hotel: Help with hotel - Sheraton

I have searched for the dates 1/21 - 1/27 on HOTWIRE and it has come back with $136 a night for 4* waikiki beach, resort, beachfront, smoke free, fitness centre, pool, restaurant, business centre, laundry, high-speed internet and children's activity program.

I am assuming this is the Shertaton.

I haven't used HOTWIRE before so I am just wondering if buying a room this way means you end up with the cheapest room - eg. low floor, city view.

OR can you still end up with a nicer room, high floor, partial/ocean view?

Also, is it possible to upgrade to a nicer room for a fee upon arrival at the hotel, if there is availability?

My guess would be the Sheraton. As with PRICELINE, HOTWIRE guarantees a regular/non-upgraded room. If a higher floor is not a paid upgrade, then you can request it, but it's up to the hotel. You can contact the hotel after booking to see if paid upgrades are available.
