Priceline Hotel: 3.5* NYC (Times Square-Theatre District) Marriott Marquis

I used the tips provided on this board to bid for a 3.5* hotel in NY - Times Square zone.

I was going to be there for 2 weekends, and wanted to stay in Times Square at a 3.5 or 4* hotel.

1) I went in with a bid of $200 for Sept 24 for a 2 night stay. The bid was accepted and I got the Marriott Marquis.

2) For the weekend of Oct 1 (2 night stay), I started bidding at $165 for a 4*, and added 3.5* with bids of $170, $180 and $190. None were accepted. I then bid $200 for a 3.5* and again got the Marriott Marquis.

I wanted to check in earlier - Wednesday or Thursday Sept 29 / 30th, so tried the "extend your stay at same price option" It was not accepted. Came back with a note of a "great deal" to stay at the Marriott for $440 per night.

Any suggestions on getting the Marriott for the 2 nights (Sept 29-30) at a price close to $200?
