edana Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 There haven't been many postings for downtown LA recently. Looks like the few there are in both the Priceline and Hotwire forums took higher bids than previous reported wins for all star levels. I'm not sure if this is an anomaly, a possible trend or sign that the L.A. hotel industry is getting healthier, or what? I also recently tried bidding 4* up to $100 and 3.5* up to $80 unsuccessfully and with no counters. Used BB PRICELINE link. Today I started up again with a $90 bid for 4* Downtown L.A., got counteroffer to bid $110. Instead I added zones and rebid in increments up to finally getting bid of $105 accepted for each of 2 rooms Saturday, 10/09/10-10/10/10, total with fees and taxes just under $250. Very happy to get the Omni Los Angeles Hotel, especially in light of its AAA 4 diamond rating and Tripadviser excellent reviews.
