iforgit Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 I'm trying to get the Hyatt for Friday 10/8 - Monday 10/11. Most people only get the Hyatt as far back as I can see and I wanted to know if it was safe to bid under resort for that property as well.I've tried this past friday $80,85,90 and again this morning $90,95,100 with no luck. I would be happy with 100 but if I could save a few bucks with 85 I would be even more excited. Any help is appreciated. thanks
iforgit Posted September 16, 2010 Author Report Posted September 16, 2010 I guess I just wasn't looking close enough but everyone gets the Hyatt under Resort, not 4* so that's what I've been trying for.Now my question is on rebidding. Since 2 out of the 3 keys areas has Resorts, can I use the 4* for rebidding help. Would this be an accurate bidding strategy?Key West - ResortKey West - Resort/4*Key West/Marathon - ResortKey West/Marathon - Resort/4*
thereuare Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Is your objective a RESORT in Key West? If so, why would you lower your star rating to 4* before trying Key West/Marathon at the resort level? What is your goal for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. iforgit Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 You are correct, my first choice is the resort, I'll change my bidding strategy. Thanks for the help, I'm glad I asked and now luck is upon me, they have now added another zone without resorts. Islamorada. I'll report back WHEN I get the hotel, I'm going for a wedding so I've got to get something.

iforgit Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 Just an update, went as high as $120 for Resort Key West using the link and was rejected. Found a solid looking B&B for $125 so I went with that instead.
