Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (Millenium-Loop-Grant Park) Hilton Chicago

Hello,

I used the PRICELINE link to bid on a room for 9/10-9/12/10. I was aiming for Millennium/Loop or North Mich with a 4* rating.

My bids have all been rejected, but I thought I'd post this anyway in case it helps someone else. Maybe I was being too hopeful with my low bids?

Started with

$55 - Millenium/Loop - denied

$60 - added North Mich - denied

added the next areas for "freebie" bids as they don't have 4* in those areas (see forum topic on bidding tips) -

$64 - lincoln - denied

$68 - franklin - denied

$70 - hyde park - denied

$74 - midway mdw - denied

$79 - skokie - denied.

I may try again in 24hrs and if I get a bid accepted, I will update this.

The problem with these dates is actually the dates just after - a massive convention is starting on 9/13 (there are no rooms in the city for 9/13-15), and prices on 9/12 are high as a result of people coming in early. Unfortunately, I think these dates will definitely require a higher bid; what would be your desired max budget per night for hotel?

So I ended up bidding on next weekend. Your info made more sense but not completely as I wasn't requesting a room for the night of 9/12. Maybe I shouldn't have said 9/10-9/12? Anyhow, I will start a new post to reflect my updated bids. And yes, I used the PRICELINE links.
