yosemitemom Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 I have been trying to bid for this trip for three weeks. No bites up to 200.00.I want Times Square or CPS or Midtown East Midtown WestCan you give me a bidding strategy or advice? Thanks so much!
thereuare Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 At the moment $200 is not enough for a 3.5* or better for these dates... is this your maximum bid?I'm not sure how much it will help, but it wouldn't hurt... Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
yosemitemom Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 I tried splitting before, but haven't in awhile. Will try again. yosemitemom Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 For stay 9/24-29 2 adults 3* Midtown Central $212Fitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)High-speed Internet Access3.5* Central Park $225Boutique HotelRestaurant(s)High-speed Internet AccessAny help appreciated Thanks!
AaronJB Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 The 3* MTC would be a possible match for the Holiday Inn Midtown, while the 3.5* CP would possibly be the Bentley. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
yosemitemom Posted September 16, 2010 Author Report Posted September 16, 2010 Can you help me ID for same tripCentral Park 4* $209 2 adultsBoutique HotelFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Internet
thereuare Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Best guess for this 4* would be the Empire Hotel. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
yosemitemom Posted September 18, 2010 Author Report Posted September 18, 2010 Saw this property on Hotwire (the Empire as you said) disappear for days then reappear this evening for $209. I was excited to see it reappear. Was getting ready to bite the bait on Hotwire and then thought I try one more bid on Priceline for the Upper West Side for 185.00 and got the Empire Hotel. Used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link (I hope)...I had used it every time in the past two weeks, but then backed out of a previous bid right before I won this. I hope that a cookie is there, in case I forgot. I hope the board got credit. Thanks for your help! You Rock!BTW it also gave me the option to extend my stay.Best guess for this 4* would be the Empire Hotel. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
