c5mjohn Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Booked Quality Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort on Manchester Ave for $42 from 10/17-10/20Amenities:-Pool-Breakfast-Laundry-InternetThe Hotwire Hotel List shows it as 2* but it seems that it has been upgraded very recently as all travel sites show 2.5* as well.Problem - The "About your hotel" page before booking shows "This hotel does not charge an additional resort fee." But the Quality Inn on Manchester charges a $5.75 ($5.00+$0.75 tax) resort fee per night. I contacted Hotwire on the phone attempting to deal with the issue. The CSR said there is no way to verify that it actually said that and said there are no refunds. I told her to do the search for those dates herself and the hotel is still there with the "no resort fee" statement but she said that its possible that its a different hotel (with the same star rating, tripadvisor rating, amenities, location, price and NO RESORT FEE?! :) I did the research and only possibility would be Tropicana Inn which is way too expensive to be sold at $42 and has never shown up on Hotwire before). I convinced her to open a case with the research team and they should get back to me within 7-10 business days. Still happy with the hotel, even if I have to pay the extra $17.25. :)
