t_recks Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 4.5-star hotel in Las Vegas Strip - South10/18 - 10/24 @ $123 per night + $111.09 total fees = $849.09 TotalThis hotel features the following amenities:Studio Casino Smoke Free Rooms Daily Housekeeping Air Conditioning Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center 24-hour Front Desk High-speed Internet Access Spa Services Condo 80% Recommended According to past posts this SHOULD BE the Planet Hollywood Towers.Question 1: Is this correct? I WANT to stay at the Planet Hollywood Towers.Question 2: If it is not the Planet Hollywood Towers, what else could it be?Question 3: I assume this would be for a suite/studio room. Any idea if that assumption is correct? Question 4: Is my best bet trying to upgrade to a 1BR or 2BR upon arrival, as 1BR is what I really want.LASTLY, if I can't stay at Planet Hollywood Towers, can you recommend a Condo, on strip, that offers 1BR or 2BR in the same price vicinity?WOW! Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! The above does match previous reports for the Planet Hollywood Towers so that would be my best guess.Your reservation would be for a Studio room. There would be no guarantees that you would be able to upgrade to a 1BR, as this would likely be based upon hotel occupancy. You can try calling the hotel ahead of time and seeing the cost to upgrade, although you may be told that it would be based upon availability at check-in. I'd go to the hotel's own website and see the cost difference between a Studio room and the 1BR suite you want... if it's worth it to you i'd even go so far as to offer to pay this amount upfront if the hotel would guarantee the upgrade. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. t_recks Posted October 5, 2010 Author Report Posted October 5, 2010 No. I ended up not bidding on that other thread. Is this a replacement for the Vegas trip discussed in this thread?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
damngina Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 This could also be the Signature at MGM Grand. I believe all their rooms are condos. I would attempt to stay there if you do not get PH Towers. There's also THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, but they are a bit more expensive. Honestly, for this price I would go for it. I've delayed booking on HOTWIRE and had to pay a lot of money on an overpriced lower quality room. If you are comfortable being off-strip there is also Trump, which is frequently $90 a night and also a condo.
