Priceline Hotel: Also need help with Emeryville 3* and up 10/13-10/16

Also will be staying in Emeryville 10/13-10/16

I DO NOT want the Claremont! I stayed there before, and while ok... I found it too far off the road for me. I would prefer only EMERYVILLE, but....

so any tips on just Emeryville?

You can not avoid a particular hotel in the zone when bidding on PRICELINE. While the Clarmont was last reported to the board as a 4* hotel, the star rating you select on PRICELINE is the minimum you are willing to accept... your 3* bid could always be upgraded to a 4* hotel. Therefore you can't avoid the Claremont by only selecting 3* for your bid.

Have you searched HOTWIRE to see if anything there is of interest, within your budget, and a reasonable guess as to the hotel's identity (or at least know that it's not the Claremont by an amenity icon showing which the Claremont does not offer)
