I would appreciate some bidding strategy for getting the Intercontinental on PRICELINE for 10/16 - was wanting to stay within walking distance to Bayside Marketplace.

Unfortunately, there is no way to ensure a particular property when bidding on PRICELINE. If you bid at the 4* level in this particular zone, you could possibly get any of the participating 4*'s in the zone. Are you only interested in the Intercontinental?

Try www.lastminutetravel.com Use 5Star Downtown Miami criteria. Look in the URL For HotelID=917 (web address) once you click on the 5 Star Downtown link. You shoild be able to book it for$84 plus fees.....under $100 total. Hope this helps
