Hotwire Hotel: 4* NYC (Downtown-Soho) Embassy Suites

I've been checking HOTWIRE & bidding on PRICELINE for this trip for a few weeks now. Previously I didn't see anything less that $229 or so on Hotwire and was unsuccessful bidding all 4* & 3.5* PRICELINE zones on Manhattan Island along with free rebids. I signed in on Tuesday and found this $188 rate, which I correctly determined to be the Embassy Suites. Tried rebidding on PRICELINE up to $185 for both 4* and 3.5* with no luck so I jumped on this. Given the recent high prices for the fall I'm fairly pleased. With tax & fees this 2 night stay comes to $459.78

The current Hotwire price is $224. Expedia is $289, Travelocity $279, Hotels.com $289
