ENYC2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I am trying to book a 3.5-4 star hotel in the downtown or french quarter (or possibly convention center) area from 10/30-11/1. I've been trying for a few days, and my bids have ranged from $70-$135 and I still haven't gotten anything. I'm just wondering how high I should go before it's no longer a good deal. I'm just worried I've waited too long. I wanted to keep it under $100, but have realized that's not going to be possible. I absolutely do not want to spend anymore than $170 including tax. I guess I didn't realize how busy this weekend is in NOLA. Can anyone help?
swag Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Lastminutetravel.com has some 3.5, 4, 4.5 star hotels showing as available for those dates, in the $112-140 range.
thereuare Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I would imagine that New Orleans gets pretty busy during Holloween... even more so that it falls on a weekend this year. What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. ENYC2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Author Report Posted November 11, 2010 Sorry, I never followed up. My friend ended up booking us a room at lastminutetravel.com at the JW Merriott on Canal for $150/night.
