gonetomaui Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Tried Waikiki resorts for 09/21/10 - 09/25/10 without any luck for a week, tried 09/21-09/23 and got Marriott for $105 (starting at $90 and working in $5 increments) then worked on 09/23-09/25 for another week before getting the Hyatt for $130 (started at $100 and went in $10 increments.) All in all I'm pretty happy.

gonetomaui Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 We're back, and had a great time! Despite my Marriott "Elite" staus, they put us in a 5th floor room in the back of the hotel! :) They called it a "mini-suite" and made a big deal about it . . . it had 2 queens, 2 twins, and a hide-a-bed! For my wife and me! :) (As compared to the Hyatt Regency, where we were upgraded to an ocean front room on the 26th floor!) :) :o The big question is, since I much prefer the Hyatt at $130 vs the Marriott at $105, if I bid $130 will I get the Hyatt before I get the Marriott next time?
Westerner Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 It appears as though the lowest bid of $110 gets you the Sheraton Waikiki at the moment. At least at the 4* level.
