Aico Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Hello!I need a hotel from 09/23 - 09/27 - this time has really high rates :) PRICELINE is offering "4 Star Hotel in Upper West Side Area for $185 a night" on their first page. The only 4 Star Hotel in Upper West Side is the Empire. Is that right? Are these offerings ok to take or should I try bidding for it with a lower price?Hope you understand my english, I'm from Europe and hadn't used it for a while :)
thereuare Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!PRICELINE doesn't show hotel availability... they may show a previous win at a 4* property at a given price, but that's not necessarily available for your particular dates... or is it HOTWIRE that you're looking at? (which does show availability along with the amenities associated with a given hotel)In regards to your other question, The Empire hotel is the only 4* property reproted to the board in this zone. As per the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List there could always be others not yet known or hotels previously reported which have been upgraded to the 4* level. Please confirm what you're seeing above (priceline vs. hotwire) and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
