Hotwire Hotel: Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn

I neeed to book a hotel in the Meadowlands area (Secaucus) for check -in on 9/6/10-9/10/10 but would like to get points on my Hilton HHonors account. Do the Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton participate with Hotwire? Currently a 3* hotel with the following comes up for $77/night: Smoke free, Exercise, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet and Golf nearby. Also 2 1/2* for $109/night with: Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool and Business Center.

Any guesses?

PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservations are not eligible for points. You may be able to get points for any incidentals you charge to the room (restaurant, internet, etc)... but not for the room rate. You need to compare the HOTWIRE rate vs. a hotel direct rate, then decide if the difference is worth the points you would likely not be receiving.

Have you ever calculated what a point is worth to you? As per above it seems you'd be willing to stay in a lesser quality hotel and pay an extra $35/nite to do so... seems like a high price to pay for points, imo.

With the above noted, i'm guessing the 3* is the Sheraton, while the 2.5* property has not yet been identified.
