Hotwire Hotel: 4* Ft Lauderdale (Beach) Hyatt Pier 66

Hi, a few hotels I need identified, if you all can help--

4 * Las Olas - Downtown - Port Everglades hotel: non-smoking, fitness, pool, dining, business, internet 90% positive reviews (isn't Renaissance lower? like 70%?)

3.5 * Ft Laud Beach: suite, near beach, non-smoking, fitness, pool, dining, business, laundry

4* Hollywood Beach: resort, near beach, non-smoking, fitness, pool, dining, internet, golf

All are within the 80-90 price range, trying to find a hotel for my older teen daughter and myself, and her boyfriend (separate rooms, of course!). I want a place where they can walk around at night, maybe take a water taxi, or a short trip to the beach. We REALLY wanted Miami but prices are just too high for what you get.

Reporting back on an earlier post, I changed my mind and went with the 4* Hyatt Pier 66 for $69 on Hotwire. Amenities were the same as previously reported:

Amenities showed as:

Resort, Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa

Dates were May 18 through May 20, 2010.

Please note that there was a $18- daily charge for self-parking, no resort fee. Also, as others have said elsewhere, many of us (like myself) who are not paying rack rate are relegated to the outlying Lanai buildings. The western-facing rooms in those buildings become remarkably hot and A/C needs to be running 24 hours a day to keep them cool. Room quality was less than impressive; bathroom was seriously outdated.
