Yes, same thing happened to me.. Holiday Inn Express a 3 star hotel my arse!!

I'm so disappointed in Hotwire, feel like I was completely taken, will never use the service again. Stay away from Hotwire!! Ended up paying a total of $175 for one night with taxes and fees to stay at a hotel worth about $100. Never again. This hotel isn't even close to the other hotels in the 3 star category in Newport.

As a side note, most Holiday Inn Express properties are now rated 3* by both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE.
