Priceline Hotel: 4* DC (White House-Downtown) Sofitel Lafayette Square

I was amazed how much I had to pay this time - clearly this is a big convention week. This was a 2 night stay.

Bid history (used PRICELINE link at top right to start bidding):

Bid $70 for a 4* in Convention Center and White House zones - rejected

added 7 re-bid zones (the zones that do not have 4* hotels) and bid $10 at a time up to $130

The following night, started at $140 and added rebid zones until I got to $200.

Hated to pay this much, but hotel website says $410 per night. Expedia has some rooms at $260.

By the way, I also bid for a 3.5* in Convention Center and White House zones and went from $110 to $140 and got not bites

And, I also bid $100 and $110 for a 3* in Convention Center and got no bites.
