I have not used Priceline in years and would like to thank everyone who participates in betterbidding.com.

Searching for a hotel on Manhattan's east side for one night, Friday, 9/10/10.

Bid 1: MTE, 3.5*, $150 rejected, PL asked me to up bid to $185. I declined.

Bid 2: ESB + MTE, 3.5*, $160 rejected.

Bid 3: CPS + MTE + ESB, $170 accepted. Grand Hyatt New York. Fairly well reviewed (at tripadvisor.com) brand name.

And for those unfamiliar, right next to Grand Central and the subway line we will use.

Adding UES (3* max.) would have been next, adding all 3* in all four areas, (correct?) and I would have raised bid to no more than $175.

I am pleased considering these were other options I considered:

Hotel Chandler, $211, Quikbook Secret Sales, $189 & $190.

Wonderful deal for this Grand Hyatt property, which is an upgrade by the service to 4* from the 3.5* bid.
