kristikls Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Hi - I'm last minute booking a place for this weekend 9/4 - 9/7 in New York City. I'd like to find something that had a pool if possible AND of course want to get the best deal I can find. Any ideas as to whether any of the places on hotwire or priceline would fit this...or just any suggestion in general? Thanks!!!
AaronJB Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)There's no way to ensure a particular amenity (such as pool) via PRICELINE. With HOTWIRE, you would look for a listing with a "pool" icon to guarantee a pool in the hotel. What would be your desired budget per night, and which areas of NYC would you be interested in staying within? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Pools in NYC are very rare... only a handful of properties have them. What is your desired star rating and expected budget? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. kristikls Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 I'm looking for a 3 1/2 + star and I'd like to not go above $250...and of course I'd like to be below that! I saw that some people had success with The Hudson so am thinking that would be lucky to get. Also, the Intercontinental shows up in some places...but I don't know anything about that hotel. Do you think I'm better off to wait until the very last minute...like the day before I go...or to go ahead and book something today or tomorrow? Would love to hear what you think on strategy...I'm a bit of a risk taker so am ok with last minute usually...but if it doesn't save money or get a better place anyhow then I guess it's not even worth it.I'm really interested in either Midtown or Soho area mostly...but am not that picky as long as it's in the general vicinity between the Park and Soho'ish. Thanks for your responses!
