Ronnald
I'm looking to go to Ka'anapali on 4/23-4/29. Last night I bidded on PL for resort on Ka'anapali. Started with $135, rejected. PL countered with $157, free rebid at $139 was rejected, another free rebid at $145 was rejected. I see Hotwire has a 4* for $185. Should I wait the 72 hours and try again? Also does having the same CC but under my wife's login work as a free rebid? Would like to try and get the Sheraton.(Sorry I should have wrote Resort in the title not 4*) Link to comment
bbbb
I think $150 would have been accepted. $150 seems to be the new price for slow times in this area. Link to comment
Ronnald
I'm going to try rebidding soon (if I can ever log onto PL). I actually changed the dates a little from my first attempt. Attempt #1 was for 4/24-4/29, Attempt #2 will be from 4/23-4/29. I'll start out around $130 or so and do the free rebids. Hotwire showed a slight increase, probably from the Saturday. Link to comment
LoneStar
If you have enough rebids, start as low as you want, but nobody has been hit below $150 there for quite some time. Given your bidding history, my guess is you have a near zero chance of breaking that streak. :) BTW, a lot of people will be "jealous" of you getting so many days there for $150, especially so easily. Inventory at that price has been quite spotty of late. Link to comment
thereuare
$150 seems to be the magic number lately, and it can sometimes take a little more. Whatever strategy you employ, i would recommend making sure that you go up to at least $150 in your bidding.Let us know how it goes.Good Luck. sk84fungirl
Ronnald,Glad to see you received a hotel for the time you needed. Do you mind sharing the name of the hotel? Looks like you bid for a 4*? I have been bidding unsuccessfully for the week before you in the same area up to $175 resort with no luck. I have booked a backup hotel and will keep trying as I have about three weeks to keep trying. Can bid again tonight and will see what happens. Link to comment

sk84fungirl
I must have been tired when I typed the previous post. Realized it was the Sheraton a little later after I typed it .No strategy needed. I'm a little experienced with Priceline, just having no luck right now and I'm OK with that. Thanks Link to comment
